Aw, you’re not alone about the joke falling flat. I don’t know if it’s the execution, if my sense of humor is off, or if it was just better in my head, but I cracked myself up when I was coming up with it.
Ah, that makes sense. I found writing comics to be a much greater challenge than I initially anticipated. Especially when telling an overarching story and attempting to be humorous the whole way through. I have a lot more respect for the authors of comics I read now.
But I was getting better at it I think. The last comic that went up before “The End” was another one I thought was pretty funny and landed much better.

If it was a longer strip, he could take an item at a time. Maybe it’s that it feels a bit rushed.
